Roger Devenish was born and brought up in Sussex. In 1972 he moved to London to work as a librarian. He plays the piano with passionate inaccuracy, and also enjoys gardening, cycling and writing light verse. He is a member of the Devonshire Drive Baptist Church, Greenwich, and belongs to the Librarians' Christian Fellowship.

This book is the second in a series prepared by Roger Devenish, and were originally used as radio broadcasts into S.E. Asia.
