Wilfred Kuhrt has served as a missionary for most of his life amongst Tamil-speaking people in India and Malaya. Since returning to his native England in 1975 he has pastored Gurney Road Baptist Church in Stratford, London, firstly with his son as co-pastor and since 1980 with Achille Blaize in a multiracial church, until his retirement in 1983.

Whilst in India Pastor Kuhrt desired to help the Tamil peoples to interpret their Bibles correctly according to sound principles of interpretation. His work on interpretation was first published in Tamil in 1977 and is now available for English readers.

In this book the reader will find clear guidelines for the proper interpretation of God's Word, the Bible. By following the principles that are set out the Bible student will be enabled to understand the message of the Bible with greater clarity and will be able to handle the Word of God honestly and in good conscience. This is no technical handbook for the expert but a tool suited to every Bible reader.
